This is the first time I read Bill Bryson and I found The Road to Little Dribbling to be witty and entertaining. This is not the type of book that will have you up late at night, flipping the pages to find out what Mr. Bryson does or says next. But it is a book that you can comfortably go back to at any time, flip to any random chapter, and enjoy a quick laugh. Mr. Bryson comes across as a cranky, cynical old man—something he readily admits to—who is involved in a long-term love affair with Great Britain.
